I was very similar. I got the free-pass win (where he gets called away from the battle after so many turns pass) because I couldn't beat him even after Ratsel and Sanger appeared. I cracked up when they GAVE me Woodan against Vigi-[something] the Inspector. I got scared for a split-second, maybe he'll get one-shot. But Banpresto gave me the BOSS version of Woodan. Vi couldn't do squat-diddly against THAT kind of HP and Regen.

+Jerome Bustillo His first Alpha Gaiden appearance was worse. here you are with an army of the greatest heroes and mechs known to Mecha at the time of the game (excluding Eva, because they were busy angsting from killing what's his face). Amuro Ray, Kouji Kabuto, Tatsuya Kabuto, Ryoma Nagare (albeit Kouji and Ryoma are not in their final mechs), Turn A, Gundam X (or was it DX by this point). Out of nowhere appears the Thrudgelmir. And holy mother of fuck, by lore he effectively curbstomps your crew like they're made of paper machete, or Raditz. The original Sanger (AKA who Wodan was more closely based upon) from @G was terrifying beyond all comprehension. It really didn't help he had the infamous Double Regen Ls....

Basically Thrundelmir is the Grungust Type 3. He was transported by the Shadow Mirror to the Original universe still as Grungust Type 3. In the Earth Cradle G3 was infused with mechanical Cells. And mechanical cells were created by a sciencist that helped DC at the time. So nothing wrong with DC crest.

Spoilers for Alpha Gaiden it was really cool to be able to use Sanger in the endgame of Alpha Gaiden using the Thrudgelmir and finally taking down Magus once and for all, seeing him change from some dude trying to stop you from reaching Magus to outright helping you take her down was one of the coolest moments

We don't know what happened in the shadow mirror's 'verse... Maybe they actually ARE the SM's divine crusaders and painted over it. Most likely tought, the Shadows painted it as a way to show 'good will' towards their allies. But who cares!? looks awesome nonetheless.

in fact wodan ymir (aka W15) is an androïd like lamia loveless (W17) made to be the perfect reflection of the dead sanger in the shadow mirror dimension. lemon did her work to the perfection, exept that wodan has a mecha way better than the grungust III of the living sengar. (you see why sanger needed dygenguard to finaly defeat wodan fair and square)

And still, he has all the right to complain about Wodan: he's an ass. But at least he always go after one unit on the enemy phase. Most of his attacks arent't too much of a problem: it's entirely possible for a PT to survive a Drill Knuckle at full health, but only Super Robots have a chance to survive a Colossal Blade.

You clearly didn't play alpha gaiden to complain 'bout Wodan, did you? Before he was a hero, Sanger was perhaps THE boss in Alpha Gaiden in my oppinion. Wodan oneshots you? Sanger (Caller Zengar back then) would do it at a 9 square distance. Wodan has lot's of armor? Zengar would shrug off a cosmo nova with 1900 armor(Nearly 3.5k for OGs, if i'm not wrong in my comparison.) And don't get me STARTED over the damage dealt over average mech HP.
