I'm glad Arios is so good in this one. Kyrios felt like a poor man's Zeta in Hakai-hen, but now with general buffs and the Supersoldier mode, he's really earned himself a top spot.

Well, those like Amuro were tied heavily into the story. Mostly because the same VA for Amuro did Ribbons so they had to make Amuro a big player because they're huge fanboys and girls.

Yep, and Quatre is still the most shafted Gundam pilot ever. Why he loses his cross-crusher attack after upgrading to the Sandrock Kai still baffles me till this day.

The point being that the Nu had it's entire animation set completely revamped. It retains it's CCA feel, and got special non-pilot cut-ins.

I think they should have allocated more money to 00 Raiser...it doesn't make sense that a ZEUTH unit would have better animations that a DEBUTING ZEXIS unit.

To clarify, Nu got animations which never appeared in the show, such as the Fin Funnel Last Shooting. Compared to others, say the Shin Getter 1, which always had the Stoner Sunshine. Sure it looks brand new, but it more or less follows an animation that has already been established in other games/show.

they can always introduce the other units from 00 manga and say that Fon Spaak (Sparks) stole some of the GN Drives for the Astraea, Plutone, and maybe even Rasiel..

It's unlikely we'll ever see it, most likely the 00R wont even appear in Z3. It may just be the 00 that gets destroyed later and Setsuna gets the Qan(t). After all Saji retired from ZEXIS at the end of z2.2 to be with Louise in peace. Of course they could find an excuse to drag him back into the conflict and maybe even let Louise pilot again.

The biggest gripe that many people have with the 00R was that GN Sword III was only used with Trans Am Raiser. However, SRW is known for showing underused weapons in the series, in this case the GN Sword II. Gotta admit though, Exia was far more impressive looking that the 00R.

Unlikely we'll ever see that. After z2.2 the 00R is undamaged and still has both GN Drives. Though Saji retires to care for Louise. No matter, it wont be an issue. They'll just have the 00R get destroyed the same way so Setsuna is forced into the Qan(t).

Oh, obviously. But what I mean is that so many units have equally batshit, if not MORESO, animation quality. Whether it got rebuilt from the ground up is irrelevant, because these units also got built from the ground up.

Anyone know what Arios did during the melee sequence after the fighter-mode bash? I can see that it transforms, did something to the enemy, transforms back to the MA mode, and finished the sequence with the iconic crush. I've even tried watching in 0.25 speed, but I can't see what it did to the enemy while it was in its split-second MS mode. It was too fast, lol.

It will have the Movie, though the Movie will be debuting in SRW UX first instead of Z3 which wont be coming out for awhile.

The guys/team(s) who did the animations for Kyrios/Arios should be given promotions for eternity. Would be great to have them working on Harute when Awakening makes its console debut...

Pretty doubtful, Manga stuff has a much harder time getting into SRW due to budget issues and lack of VAs and references for animation/attacks. Though that means it may not end up like Astray and appear in a solo SRW title, very unlikely it'll get in z3 however since this is the debut for the Movie and 00 S2 is over.
