I like that she wasn't really evil at the start. She was just a bratty kid who could've had a better life. She has an extreme case of jealousy tho which led to her downfall. Honestly, I hate the Emperor for neglecting her so much. I hated him even more when he neglected Maha (even though he's not really their son, but he doesn't know that). All she wanted and needed was love and acceptance but she didn't receive any of that. I find her enjoyable to watch since she's a villain but she manages to create some comedic and sad moments.

it was a forced marriage, and he hated her father for killing his father unfortunately that sealed her fate, there was no way he was going to start giving her attention after the shit her family did to him. The same for Maha, he knew they were going to use him to overthrow him.

Poor Tanashiri, she was only used by her own Father’s political greed/ambition which made her to do evil deeds caused by jealousy and unloved by the Emperor. I finished watching Empress Ki a month ago ( although this beautiful drama was released years ago) but I still feel the sore/ heartbroken ending effect of Wang Yu dying without renouncing his love for Seung Yang😭

When I was young I hate her when I grow up I pity her. She was only trapped in such horrible fate. It was legally and spirituality her husband but she had no right to his heart. She was spoiled because she was not guided properly. She died loving a child that wasn't hers. In real history it's much more crueler

Tanasiri, I liked her very much All she needed was love. True love. I think the writer made a mistake not giving Tanasiri and WangYu a chance. Sungnyang was already in love with the emperor, Why not let WangYu move on with a woman who would love him back.
