I remember watching this show back on jetix. Good times, I love mystic force morph sequence more simply because they fly/jump to complete their morph. I love the solar cell morpher from mystic also becuse he throws the card. The wolf warrior is almost the same. I loves the morph from the white mystic ranger in magiranger because she actually had a phone.

I'd say Magiranger wins this comparison, let me tell you my opinion: ►Let's take a look at the transformation sequences: -They both use the footage showing the phone "shoots" energy to the sky, then the magic symbol appears. The symbol then "flies down" under the 5 main Magirangers feet, they just need to stand in one place and do the same pose as their Heavenly Saints' ones, the suit starts forming from the leg to the head. Meanwhile in MF, the Ancient Titans (that's what they call them in the series) fly from the symbol, the Mystic Rangers do the same pose as the Titans, but what made them act too fast (the titans just stand for a very short time), and then fly above the symbol? Sorry, but I once thought "did they think the faster the better?" -MagiShine/Hikaru-sensei is a Heavenly Saint named Sungel (Sun + Angel) and his mecha is a train, I believe his movements are based on the train ticket check. He "checks" the ticket and raises it to the sky, it becomes the sun energy and covers his body to transform, a train sound can also be heard during the transformation process. Meanwhile, Daggeron "checks" and throws the ticket to become Solaris Knight, he then turns into his Ancient Mystic Mode before transforming, then the rest of the transformation process is reused from MagiShine (except the part he stands in front of the sun) -Imo, Magirangers' sound effects, background music and roll calls are much better, tbh. MF keeps yelling "hah", "hi yah" during the transformation and roll call process, it is slightly cringe for me. I don't think yelling "hi yah" while raise hands or make simple movements is a good idea. Aside from that, Mystic Rangers talked too much during the fight, especially the fight using Magiranger's footage (e.g you can watch Solaris Knight's first battle and then compare with the original version MagiShine, you can see the differences. I'd pick MagiShine) ►Some differences the stories: -The Magirangers are all related, the Ozu family (Hikaru-sensei/Sungel who later becomes MagiBlue/Urara's husband so he is counted as well). In Mystic Force, however, only Vida (Pink) and Madison (Blue) are related. The family concept is much better for me -The Magirangers are chosen because the children of Heavenly Saint Blagel (Isamu Ozu), and they fight against the evil Underground Hades Empire Infershia with their magical ability, which is raised by their courage. In MF, except pink and blue, they are not related and they must believe in magic so that you can use them. Seriously?! -Hikaru/Sungel is Blagel's pupil, mentor of the 5 Magirangers, he later married Urara (MagiBlue). In their first meet, Urara had to overcome her fear of frogs to kiss the frog as a thanking for saving her life, turned out the frog is Heavenly Saint Sungel, sounds like The Frog Prince, doesn't it? Meanwhile in Mystic Force, Madison (Blue Mystic Ranger) overcame her fear of frogs and kissed the frog, the frog turned back to Daggeron but she has NO feelings for Daggeron, she instead has feelings for Nick Russell (Red Mystic Ranger)?! I asked many real life friends of mine, they all said "it was because Hikaru-sensei is more handsome than Daggeron" -Near the end of the series, Wolzard is revealed to be Heavenly Saint Blagel/Isamu Ozu, father of the 5 Magirangers (he was brainwashed during the battle with Absolute God N Ma 15 years ago). In MF, Koragg the Knight Wolf is in fact Leanbow, Udonna's husband and father of Nick. The story revolves around Nick again?! -Heavenly Saint Lunagel/Rin is just a friend of Sungel while in MF, they made Clare (Rin's counterpart) Nick's cousin. Too much related things to Nick?! I did watch both Magiranger and Mystic Force in my childhood, and I even later rewatched both series for a better comparison. And after that, I still choose Magiranger (better music, better sound effects, better story, the family concept, young actors/actresses, character development, etc) and many things in MF don't make any sense for me, e.g Hades Warrior God Titan in Magiranger was killed by Hades Wise God Dagon and his lifeless body used as a host for Absolute God N Ma; in MF Matoombo (his Rangers counterpart) was struck down by Sculpin and possessed by Octomus the Master, but he is revived but there was no explaination how Matoombo regain his body. Tbh, the series PRMF should be called "Nick Russell and his friends" because they focus too much on Nick (it's not just my opinion, some PR fans even said the same thing), while Magiranger did pay attention to Kai/MagiRed the most but the series still let other members shine (e.g Stage 13 revolves around Urara dealing with financial problem, Stage 20 is Sungel's show and Stage 28 is MagiYellow/Tsubasa's sad love story) Sorry for the long statement with bad description. If you don't agree with me, it's fine, everyone has different opinions.

Everything you said is kinda true, and a good point about why the magi ranger henshin is better than power rangers. But one thing is that power rangers is solely focussed on a kid audience. So that's why the "ha" and "hi yah" stuff is kinda cringy (Especially in SPD), cause it's focused on getting the attention of kids by making those extra noises and flashy transformations. Back then when I was a kid, I did'nt even remember the "ha" or "hi yah". I believe that visually, all power ranger morphs are better than super sentai, just because they focus more on the visuals, effects, and better cgi.

there are elements of both i like, and i appreciate mystic force obviously took inspiriation from magiranger transformation without it being a direct copy. the most interesting change IMO is Magiranger has a symbol underneath them, while mystic force had them jumping through the symbol above them to complete the transformation. Considering that disney owned PR at the time, i wonder if they didnt like having the symbol underneath cause it was too reminiscent of satanic rituals?

I’d say it’s a tossup between which you like. If I saw this when I was 6 or 7 I would say Mystic force won because I liked Vida then. Now I’d say Mahou Sentai Magiranger has the better henshin sequence. This season was about siblings learning to work with each other and help each other gain the courage they need, while mystic force? There’s maybe two people in the whole show who are related to each other and weirdly decided to roll with the orks from warhammer 40k where the rangers need to believe hard enough for their magic to work. So really the comparison is between the quality cereal vs the stale as fuck Walmart brand fruit loops knock off.

@@Inescapeium the morphing sequence in sentai is mostly standard. Most of the rangers just stand in one place and the clothes just covers them from leg to head. Look at go onger and RPM, the sentai rangers just stand at one place while the suit covers them but in RPM they acclerate into the morphing grid to get their suit. Whereas Gold and Silver rangers fly to suit up cuz their zords are helicopters but in sentai even the Gold and Silver just stand at one place and morph.

Power Rangers Mystic force The Good: the main five transformation sequence have more dynamic choreography than its sentai counter part, jump to magic circle looks cool. The bad: The difference between them is just in color coded. Mahou Sentai Magiranger The bad : They are just standing on the ground and waiting magic circle touching the ground then forming their costume. Looks a little boring. The good: they are showing their individual elemental power during transformation.
