I'm sure there's safer methods out there, but this at least encourages redundant wires and electrical systems. As well as maximizing the space you have available.

Before you dismantle the particle accelerator make sure the tesla is actually generating enough power for your needs, you may need to make the tesla stronger to handle the power load, don't worry as long as you follow the rest of the recommendations in this guide you will be fine. Thanks for making a guide that doesn't put the tesla coils danger close to the emmitter beams, engineers do not like getting to close to those especially to repair the coils.

I'm not convinced you can just say "danger close" in this context. "Dangerously close", sure, but "Danger close" is a military term, as far as I'm aware.

@@fernando47180 the design I was thinking of puts the coils in a line between the emitters so you are 1/4 tile away from the emmitter beams while you repair them. I always interpreted danger close as you are very close to getting hit, (danger close artillery), so in context you are "danger close" to the emmitter beams. I never served in the army so I have no clue what it actually means.

just back up power (smes, substations) and make more HV/MV wire connections like shown in the video. it works with singulo as well, its just that singulo takes more space, time and is a bit more dangerous

You can reduce the space for building a Tesla to a 5x5 square. To do this, you need to put barriers as in the video, then put emitters next to the barriers (namely on the west and east sides) (so that there is no free space between the barrier and the emitters). After that, 6 earthing devices are needed, which must be arranged in order: earthing device, emitter, earthing device, emitter, earthing device on one side and also on the other. After these actions, we have 6 unoccupied tiles in the north and south, we put Tesla coils in their place (you can expand to 12 coils if you add an additional row in the north and south). Emitters, thanks to some kind of magic, do not explode in such a position in the case when they are at a distance of 2+ tiles from Tesla. P.S. If there are inaccuracies, then thank the translator, and so I launched Tesla in such a company on the admin base and it worked the whole shift without interruption.

Remember, kids: It's not always Engi's fault that the power's out - sometimes they aren't properly supplied to get power online before the SMESs run dry, and if that's the case yelling at them about it is just going to stress them out more and likely will lead to a worse experience for anyone in the department who doesn't know what they're doing. also, I've noticed a few times where people have mistaken an electric anomaly for a Tesloose. could be worth covering the differences between the two, assuming there are enough of them for one to be able to tell with or without risking their own lives to get closer

Learning for new engineers is terrible right now. If power isn't up and running immediately the entire station loses their minds on the engis, so nobody who knows what they're doing wants to take the time and teach new guys
