I am Venkatdas Prabhu from Kochi. I lived in Mumbai for 26 years from 1986 to 2012. Now living in Kochi. I have heard many playback singers in Mumbai singing this song. But to be very frank, I have never ever heard anyone sing it like Sreenivas Sir sang it in this Video. What a complete singer with a superb voice, total perfection and with utmost simplicity!!! I really loved it from the bottom of my heart as I am a big mad fan of late Kishore Kumar. After watching this video, I got very much inspired and sang the same song on an open stage with Karaoke System at a Bhagwati Temple Festival Program in Kochi on February 26, 2024 and got lot of applause from the audience!!!👍😍❤🎉🎊🙏

Maine ye video 25 baar dekha isliye ki mujhe ye gaana utna hi pasand aaya!! Mai bhi mere college days se lekar ab tak Kishore Da ke gaane Roz gaata rehta hu. Aur zindagi me pehli baar Kochi (Cochin) me hamare Durga Mandir ke Festival me ek stage program me maine bhi "Musafir Hoon Yaron" Karaoke ke saath gaaya aur bahut taaliyaan mili toh Dil Khush Hua!!! We grew up listening to Kishore Ji songs and when anyone makes a little mistake or adds extra notes to Kishore Ji's song it easily gets noticed. Srinivas Ji made no such mistake in fact he sang it with ease, and comfort and maintained that particular mood of the song. I must say it was a perfect tribute to Kishore Ji. The most amazing part was Srinivas Ji's pronunciation of words like 'ghar', 'thikana' , 'mujhe', 'hai'. Believe it is not easy for even Hindi-speaking people. Also, you may notice the other singer mispronounced those words

Exceptional rendition by Srinivas, an underrated singer. Enjoyed the feel and the expressions blended with it. With all due respect to the second singer, I feel when a person is invited for a solo performance, no one else should join the singer, no matter how good a person can sing. There have been flaws in the pronunciation of Hindi words of the uninvited second singer, which pulled down the overall quality of this performance. Srinivas has gracefully accepted the interruption and even thanked the singer! (The comment should be seen as only personal, but a sincere review.)
