Sorry but the korando is all lights, mirrors & bells. At the expense of the stuff you cannot see. 1.5l turbo engines in 2 tonne suv's , racing car dual clutch transmissions in big SUVs??. That may go well in a sports car or small hatchback but not in a SUV of this size. Quality of build & material is compromised, so as to be able to retail at budget price. Your getting a brand new SUV for as little as $21k USD, when most other SUVs in the category retail average at $30-35k USD. Why is that?. Coz you get exactly what you pay for, there's no special bargains, this is business!!.

Can you please provide more details on your comment? It's very interesting that you say this considering that these cars get a lot of good reviews, did you have a bad first-hand experience with this exact same model or is your comment based only on supposition? I'm asking because I'm interested in buying this car sometime in the near future and your comment really drew my attention.

Daniil Balkan : Yes, You are right. Except clutch - Korando has Aisin transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter, not dual clutch. Materials and build quality of the visible parts are reasonable good, standard for car's price level.

@@silviupanait8861 Poor lights, no cornering lights, no one-touch windows control, unreliable ultrasonic parking assist sensors. Front seats without lumbar support, unresponsive and slow steering, transmission with slow reactions, poor 4x4 solution with weak interaxle clutch (max. capacity 800 Nm) with tendency to overheat after light load in 2 minutes. Badly tuned cruise control oscillating around target speed and increasing fuel consumption and many more. But build quality is very good, with reasonable material quality, Korando is very comfort and spacious car. Only trunk volume is small, that 550 liters is meassured to the roof of the trunk space, not to the plateau. Hyundai Tucson is slightly expansive, but overall much better car. If You can accept slightly smaller dimensions, check Suzuki S-Cross mildhybrid with 1.4 liter Boosterjet engine with 95 kW. It is cheaper with much better fuel efficiency and driving characteristics.
