Yep..Direct entry cadets can...if you look at you will find that Most of the winners are appointees like AUO,ACA,BCA,BUO,etc.. it's just about score in various games leadership and physical strength.. Majority of the winners are ex-nda's that's just bcz they got training for 3 years in drills,sports and other aspects to perform well in the service academy (IMA/OTA)...But there are exceptions.. There was also a TGC GC who won sword of honour.

I was in the same place where u r now...My advice-join maths coaching if u seriously wanna crack exam(considering that u do not have maths as optional subject) And if you have maths, then simply purchase RS Aggarwal Nda and start solving it

Yep..Most Sword of honour are bagged by ex-nda's that just because of the 3 year exposure of physical training and sports,etc.... there are exceptions for that there are GC's from TGC entry who got soh.. it's just about performance
