This match is the worse and best thing in the old competitive world of melee

Wife should have taken this set.

I think Wife's entire career would have been different if he beat the King in this set.

High level melee back then looks very similar to low-mid level ultimate today

Game wasn't fully understood and probably still isn't. 1 year since you posted this and things have changed a lot since once more. Melee piss juggers will play this game until they die and its beautiful.

Just thinking I could go back in time now and play with my current skill level and I'd destroy everyone...like even just their neutral is horrible in this lol yet alone the tech skill part of it.

Melee was the first game to be played competitively and since its been a competitive game then the understanding of smash in general has been extremly improved. Just imagine how bad would be top level Ultimate if we didn't have a smash scene before

@@richi5291 Smash 64 was played competitively just not to nearly the same extent

That's how all sports work man. College baseball players could go back and probably annihilate pitching from the earliest pitching greats. You play at the best level of current understanding and just because the game evolves past you doesn't mean you weren't playing at the top for the context of the time.

In the 3rd set the stage is without Windmill (grass version I think - never played SSBM) yet Wife referred to windmill in interview. Is it somehow invisibly there all the time or is memory playing tricks with wife? (or is it differet game?)

memory most likely

@@SurgeryIsWokeRandom nonsense that shouldn't traditionally work in meta. Sometimes for style or on accident. Usually a move, combo, or spotdodge that is unusual for that moment but still worked.
