ok, a couple other people have already asked that question, so I will explain. TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun (or superplay). It requires the use of an emulator, and you edit your gameplay frame by frame to your liking. It allows you to do things in the game that would be very hard to impossible in real time.

The SRAM runs start from SRAM because they need characters unlocked. Captain Falcon is available from the start. Also, the currently published SSB run was one of the few that didn't get rejected.

It is a human that plays it yes. The computer/emulator only helps him to slow down the gameplay and eventually using save states so he can redo it again if somehting fails. He's preforming to the limits of what the game allows. There's no cheats at all involved.

One question: Do you think it's possible to TAS Cruel Melee ? I don't exactly remember how Cruel Melee goes, though. Also although the run was entertaining and all, I would probably enjoy a lot more seeing a bottom-tier character utterly destroying everything, rather than an God tier. It's still a good movie, and I hope you will get published. Perhaps next time try to get all the alternate/bonus opponents, like Luigi ! :D
