62) c ✓ 👉 Turmeric :-- Botanical name is curcuma longa. Turmeric is the flowering plant in the Ginger family Zingiberaceae. It is a perennial, rhizomatous plant native to the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia. Temperature between 20-30°C and high annual rainfall. 👉 In the state of Tamilnadu in South India that the city of erode is the largest producer of turmeric, follow by Sangali , is it in the state of Maharashtra. It is the known as the "Turmeric city" or "yellow City". 👉 Lakadong turmaric is famous for having One of the highest curcumin content all of turmeric ( curcumin content is 1-3% ). 👉 Lakadong turmeric is found in the jaintia hills ,Meghalaya. Lakadong turmeric is found in maliha village, Meghalaya. 👉 Lakadong turmeric has got GI tag under GI tag act ,1999. 👉 Khondhamal turmaric is the GI tagged turmaric grown by farmers in Khondhamal district of Odisha.
