Revisory jurisdiction is statutory. Like section 115 of civil procedure code or 397 of the criminal procedure code. High court exercises supervisory aka Revisory jurisdiction over trial courts of the state under article 227 of the Constitution. On the other hand judicial review is an extraordinary jurisdiction of high court under article 226 of the Constitution in which the high court examines the administrative orders, decisions or local and central laws on the anvil of fundamental and statutory rights of the people. For example if any civil judge makes an illegal order in a pending suit you can revise it under cpc. But if the mayor of your town takes a decision to impose a new tax then there will be judicial review by high court whether such imposing of tax is justified or not.
