SSD vs HDD (What should you buy?)

I have a 3TB HDD and had my old one crash so I'm always worried it will do the same- so I never travel with it at all. I had the same experience man, and I wont move with it- lost a lot of really great data.

Yeah man it’s definitely a learning moment when it happens for the first time 😅 Good thing SSD’s can provide some more ease of mind when it comes to travel now!

I bought a LaCie as a backup drive right before your whole fiasco with yours and now I'm scared to put anything on it

I think if you don’t toss it around like I did and use it as a back up you should be okay!

Is there a difference in upload and download speed between the two?

In terms of reading and writing data on the drive, SSD’s are usually faster! HDD speeds usually depend on the RPMs of the spinning platter.
