That was some truly amazing Vega play. Zeus def seems to have the skills to do big things with him. Vega def has to work hard and be on point for his wins so props to Zeus for it.

vega already has enough tools to deal with fireballs, if you are throwing FBA randomly without a set up you need to change your strategy

Brandon Little yea but if vega had a no meter, full screen fireball punish he would be so broken, his dash is good enough, if you dont have bar just focus through them, or if its a multi hit fireball jump over them, vegas jump speed is the best in the game, they wont recover before he lands unless its ex fireball, in that case neutral jump and bait dp's and go for a good punish. vega does not need nerfed, even zeus said if he got any more buffs he would be broken

Sanford's lack of match-up knowledge overextended this Grand Finals. Sagat punishes Vega for free after a blocked EX Wall Dive(knee part) on his way to the wall with TU. Though Zeus would adapt probably, but it would nullify lots of corner escapes and random Dives.

The hitbox for that move as he goes to the wall takes up his entire body, even a bit behind him. he can time the wall jump so that the center of vega is on the other side of the character getting up, so they would have to block in the other direction.

I wouldn't consider Vega to be that much of an underdog overall. He's got great range and speed, and the ability to cross-up is pretty good. The only real flaws are his stun and less-than-average damage, meaning he comes off worse in trades. And Sagat will trade all day cause he's got scary damage and even-ish range on Vega. Zeus is one scary, patient-playing Vega... I wanna see someone use Dan at these levels though. Now that'd be funny, a Dan taking EVO or something.

Zuesthegod Is #2 on psn and is great but in some of those rounds he made mistakes he normally wouldn't. I guess a Tournament and fighting a tough Sagat can have that effect. Slide kicks, focus attacks, & whiffed EX Scarlett kicks were big mistakes. None the less...good shit by both EMP & Zues.

Bad? You're nuts. Of course there are better but not many. Definitely one of the top in the US for sure. Throw some names out there then if you know so many underground Claw players because he's really one of the only people representing Claw at any sort of tournament level (ever since Tatsu stopped playing him, anyway.) Jozhear is pretty decent when he's at his best, brokkenG is solid and Noel is alright. As for past players: makoto and yamasan were really good.
