I agree. Even though it cuts off your normals and can't focus or throw or ultra with it, I see no reason to grab it if you got a free moment in the match. I find it more useful as a mind game tool than anything. People don't like getting stabbed, especially when THEY can't have a knife, so pick it up, stab em a few times then throw it or play as usual and forget about it. While your no longer concerned with it, their focus will be keeping you away from it, which leads to bad positions for them.

lp criminal upper can be punish on block, you have to space it perfectly for it to be safe, and you can easily react to cody picking up the rock by throwing out a ryu cr.mk or sweep, so if its a fake rock you are safe and if he throws the rock it will go over

@Innoruk Cody keeps the knife if you do Ruffian Kick. Only punch specials drop the knife. It's worth picking up sometimes, just as a surprise for a couple combos, or you can pick it up and throw it at people who are at low health. Also c.hp is a pretty strong anti-air with it.

@KingBalrog94 Although you may have already gotten en answer, but i believe it works on every character. Thing is, it doesn't work in training mode really. The j.hp has to be guarded as a non crossup although it does. Trick is, once they know this, you can use j.mk and empty jump into low or throws and empty jump counterhit setups. Doesn't work in training mode because the opponent HAS to block a side, if they leave it in neutral, it will whiff. Nobody leaves it neutral in a match.
