which of the tree machines act as client and which as server in that ssh procedure. Does the localhost has an ssh client and the final destination (linux machine again) has openssh-server? What about the intermediate machine? Does it need only the build in tools to forward the traffic or any kind of app installation? Thank you

I’ve got a data center server and I can’t unblock port 8447 no matter what I try... however another server in the same center can have it accessible with a firewall inbound rule. I wonder if there is some intermediary switch or router that is blocking the port just for the first server? Any ideas how I would find this out and change it? Unfortunately it’s windows so I don’t have netstat command

You can use netstat on Windows if you want to: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/netstat

Make sure that firewall is allowing connections through port . If you're on a windows machine and never touched firewall settings while or after downloading ssh server, all the ports will automatically be blocked by default. There are two solutions: 1. turn off the firewall 2. run the following command to allow incoming connections to port 22 "netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name='ssh allow' protocol=tcp localport=22 dir=in action=allow". This command should probably do the trick. If I made any syntax mistake, please do let me know
