Hi Jaffdady. Are you using Azure SQL DB or Managed Instance? You only get SQL Agent jobs with Managed Instance.

The easiest way is to use a trigger with the ADF pipeline that calls the SSIS package...I cover it briefly at the end on the video

Hi Tushar. You will need SSIS. It is included with your licence for SQL Server on a IaaS but needs to be installed on the VM. If you are using a PaaS version of SQL you will need the SSIS integration Runtime

Hi Shyam. Yes you can by using ssis in ADF. Here is a link for doing it in ssis - docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/integration-services/load-data-to-from-excel-with-ssis?view=sql-server-ver15. I believe a native ADF connector for Excel is in development but don’t know the time lines.

Hi Aaron. I used the Azure Managed Instance flavour of SQL in the demo but you can also use Azure SQL DB. Both options are Platform as a Service so you won’t have any VMs to manage.
