I never knew this song was written by His Royal Highness Pannara Sisiwath. Thank you for sharing a piece of Khmer history. I'm feeling nostalgic after watching so many hours of Russia invading Ukraine news.

Hard to believe it's been a year... Russia won't take "no" for an answer!

Timeless classic! My mother loved this version, and I would play this song for her when she was going through her fight with cancer.
The coolest lads of all time..... I know them all and broke my heart every time. Every day wake up still feel as home is still there and everything is intact.... Lord, enough punishments, enough.

I don’t normally like songs sang by anyone else than Sin Sisamouth, but this one is actually really good.
I all Khmer singers, composer, songwriters and musicians were the best of quality. Nowadays, I didn't like none of them. As I am Khmer/French/American but I love Khmer oldies songs. I live in America but I listen these songs everyday at home.😍😍❤❤👍👍🎼🎶🎵🎤🎷🎸🎹🎺🎻🥁📯.
Agreed, while the signing sounds authentic, the guitar work sounds like it's from the 80's sounds - both the sound and the way it's played (phrasing, etc). Fantastic and thank you for sharing!

😓🙏💔🌸what a legacy thank you for your testimonies ! Please send my utmost respect to all our Kmers patriots ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Love the oldies and loved to listen to it. Khmer new generations of singers and sounds just suck...hard to listen to it.

I find it the same way. I can’t listen to any songs by the new generation of singers pass the first version, without noticing “mistakes” or something I don’t like. But, as for the oldies, I can listen over and over without getting bored. Oldies in general, not just Khmer, sound better than contemporary ones. But Khmer lost our best singers during Khmer Rouge. I believe great and talented singers exist everywhere, and in any generations. Maybe Khmer don’t know how to pick out truly great singers and make mediocre ones famous, and the kids follow them...very frustrating.

Correction: I meant “ first verse”, not “first version” (with this spelling check thing, the wrong words keep coming out)😬
