Based on the roadmap, I imagine these guys will probably come out 2 weeks after winter village leaves, so mid-late January possibly early February even. I at least hope to God they're not gonna rush these and throw another horse at us to buy this year it's gotten old tbh. Even if the coat is nice give us more than something to look at yk?

I feel like this is the beginning of Generation 4. The horses have a completely different look, to me at least. The gen 3 was more of a cute looking horses, this look more realistic, in my opinion. But I love the horses! I will be definitely getting one once there finished ofc. Also the hard stop is very weird lol.

It's still gen 3, gen 4 horses might be similar but they have to update the rest of the horses to gen 3 first, that's what they've said. It's kinda 3.5 though! Like these most recents have a better model and animations compared to some of the earlier gen 3

These horses look so cute! And also somewhat more realistic than any other horse at the moment, imo. Some of the gaits look odd but maybe they’re still being finalized. Definitely not a fan of the hard stop though- it seems off? Coats are SO GORGEOUS and the manes are getting better and better on these new horses. Much more realistic and full of movement! Definitely looking forward to these new halters and horses

As an owner of an Appaloosa, I LOVE the animations! They are very accurate! That extra gate is most likely the appaloosa shuffle. I'm so glad they added it!

Omg they're gorgeous. They look to be based off of the original, more rugged appaloosa that the native Americans used instead of the modern, stockier appaloosa that was heavily influenced by thr quarter horse. They have such character I definitely want to eventually get all of them.

I'm not familiar with horse coats and races, but the proportions look so weird to me. Looks like a donkey. The head and neck just looks a little awkward. But I know that this might not be the finished product so I'm really excited about how they'll look in the game. The coats are absolutely amazing! Edit: And the new halters are absolutely amazing!!! They do, but to be fair some horses do have a more mule like proportions than others especialy appas. Idk however I think they'll have a little different vibe with a different hairstyle.

I am so excited that SSO is using the Foundation/true Appy for this model. It is a very rare Appaloosa type and the one Chief Joseph and his tribe were breeding. There is a documentary called the true Appaloosa and it has been found that this Appy type came from some where in Asia and the one that the Clark expedition when they first came to North America saw. Many Appys today the modern Appaloosa have the foundation strain in their genetics. Early Appy breeders did not like the sparse mane and tail of the true appy - hence the title bestowed Upon the first Appaloosa as nasty tempered scrub tails. So the modern Appaloosa was born, they added the Quarter Horse to the bloodline to make the Appaloosa most known today has a pretty coated Quarter horse type Appaloosa. Also the Nez Perce tribe was worried that the gene pool of their beloved Appaloosa was so small that they decided to add the Akhal-Teke to their bloodline so now we have another type of Appaloosa, all these horses are so beautiful, but I do love the foundation Appaloosa being represented by Star Stable Online.

First of all I'm in love with the colors! Absolutely amazing choice of SSO. But I have to admit that the body looks soooo different to what I actual expected. I thought they going to look a bit like the Gen 3 Paints. I'm not sure what I should think about the Appaloosas body ... the head is so big and the legs so short ... Somehow the whole horse looks like a foal or a super strange pony to me. Don't get me wrong. Everything is fine ... I'm just not sure if I'm getting used to it. :D

Im sorry for your loss ❤️❤️ I’m that way with the paint horses, I had a horse very dear to me that I leased for quite a while who was moved hours from my house so I can’t really visit her anymore. (thankfully she’s still alive) She looks almost identical to the dark bay tobiano, moved just like it does, literally the splitting image of that horse. When these horses come out I definitely recommend turning your FOV all the way down, zooming in all the way, turning on wild mode, turning off music and the user interface, and just walking around in “first person mode” on whatever Appaloosa looks most similar to yours, it’s not the same as riding them in real life but it’s closer than watching your character ride them. It makes me feel a little better when I’m really missing her ❤️

I'm being stolen of my air, these are amazing coats. The walk reminds me of my grandpa's mare and her foal, they were both appaloosa, she mostly black with a few white "stipes" randomly and foal a black spotted blanket appaloosa. They have a special spot in my heart, so seeing these I'm fucking breathless. Fanominal! EVEN THE ROPE HALTERS-- We would be short on bridles or were too lazy to be official (since we were usually just leading the kids around) we had rope halters all the time, with these rope leads;-;-&##&hrushdhwudeu THIS IS MY CHILDHOOD PUT INTO SSO Not that I care about sso that much nowadays but I'm slowly starting to come back to it and be optimistic 3, 4 and 6 are my favorite, I can't wait

I LOVE those rope halters, finally a bit more western 😍😂 but with the colours and gaits I am a bit mixed, the bay I love, the palomino (?) With the (I think it is a) leopard Gen I quite like, something new and the black, but then again I was a bit mixed with the paints, when they came out, but now... The horse is really nice but I’m just so disappointed in star stable for constantly pushing out horses! I know sso mentioned (without given proof but whatever) that the horse team is separated from the other teams BUT instead of constantly pushing out horses it would be better to work on them for a bit more time and make the horses even better than they already are, you know. Also with the prices nearly reaching the 1000 sc, I think most horses are way too expensive for what I believe is their actual worth. Thank you for listening to my speech! ú3ù

Even though I appreciate them updating the models, they are ignoring the first models that came to the game like the Oldenburg and Hanoverians. I would like them to update the first horse models first since Hanoverians are very beautiful in real life along with Oldenburgs. I'm just disappointed they are just updating models that were released about 3 or 4 years ago instead of the ones around 6 years ago. I hope they will update them 😿

@@annesofiesimonsen5974 I know companies need money to function, but that excuse is used way to often in ssos case, they make millions a year off of the already over priced tack, clothing, and pets, and then the horses they push out every month. Its not going to destroy the company if they took like 2 months to just chill from horses and work on some quests because people are constantly buying star coins no matter what. I also know they said there are two teams but they arnt even attempting new quests its just horses, horses, and some more horses. I wouldnt be as upset at this rate if they would atleast double our weekly allowance so we have an easier time saving.

I'm really really excited to get to meet and ride these horses, the ones that really stood out to me were the bay and chestnut. There coats looked really smooth and perfect especially the bays. I can't wait to see them at Steve's Farm, because earlier this week I realized that the the horses (lusitanos, jorvik warmbloods etc*) weren't there anymore so I figured that's where the new appaloosa was going to be.

I love these new appys, they're absolutely stunning and sso is out doing themselves, but... they look so weird next to our player characters! Like, the new appys look like they're from rdr2 or something, while our characters just look so out of place. And yes, I know that our characters will be getting updated sometime in early to mid 2022, but still, I really think sso needs to focus a little more on the main story and updating our characters rather than releasing like 50 new horses a year.

The “horse creating team” is different to the “quest line/Jorvik team” so the horse team can create horses while the Jorvik team can also be simultaneously creating new quests etc. so it won’t make a difference on how many horses are released.

They are amazing in coat and model but I noticed that for the trot the left front leg is doing something a bit off or funky also there’s something about the jump i cant really think of what it is but I’m guessing this will be fixed as this model is in its early stages. These already look really cool! The halters don't quite feel like sso yet, but we'll see. But I'm completely baffled that these have such nice fur structure and the Icelandics just have absolutely none. Sso's horse teams just seem to not be coordinated at all, because there's always the difference with fur structure on every breed each team makes, and it just gets really weird. I'm not a big fan of the no-fur-teams horses anyways, though that's personal taste, but having the Icelandics look completely shaved while these have solid fur structure and you can basically feel the floof on the Gotlands, it just gets completely unreasonable to not coordinate the teams to make horses in one continuing, hopefully with fur, style.

@@Smaranda0 Possible, but a week of work can do a lot to a horse model, so I don't think they'd give the horse teams even one week less then planned. Plus you can clearly see which team made which horses, since there are always those with fur structure (Jorvik Wilds, Gotlands, Arabians, Paint Horses, we know Nomi is on that team and I honestly just love what she does) and those without (Frisians, Finnhorses, Percherons, Icelandics, whose coats imho just look weird because there's almost no fur structure and just color sploches and that just doesn't look like a horse coat to me), so this is not a one time problem. The horses always come out fur - no fur - fur - no fur because the teams finish horses alternately, so it's if you look just a bit it becomes very obvious that the teams just have different styles. I feel like sso should really try to coordinate that better because the two different styles are just not cohesive and that takes away a lot from horse releases and the game overall as well imo. And if they do, please in the direction of yes fur.

Nomi is a really great ?animator? that clearly puts good effort into the horse she is working on. But sometimes i feel like sso doesn’t give it their best if you know what I mean. @@Smaranda0 So basically they gave the Icelandics to team no-hair because if they don't put on hair the gaits should be better? It's perfectly fine with me if that's what you think, I can absolutely respect your opinion no matter what it is (thank you for the friendly and civilized conversation, we don't get that a lot but it's really nice ^^), but I personally feel like team hair still gets the animations better (at least for the most parts) and like you said, Nomi is really really good at 3D-animating the horses (like we saw with the Jorvik Wild which she did completely by herself and those are still some of the greatest in the game imo) so it shouldn't be a problem to get animation and coat to both look really good by simply giving it to the yes fur team with Nomi (the others are probably really good at their job as well, but we only distinctively saw Nomis work to use as a comparison). Yes, the Icelandic has very distinctive gaits, but it also has a very distinctive model (which looks fine imo) and very distinctive fluff (which is almost nonexistent). So if the goal was to make it very distinct and recognizable, I don't get why they didn't do the fluff as well when they could've. My guess is rather that they just wanted to bring them to the game right before the winterupdate, and since they do the releases Team A B A B the team responsible for this batch was just team no fur since team fur was working on the Appaloosas. And I don't think the problem is how the teams do their horses, I just prefer the yes fur team because I just like their gaits, coats and models more. The problem is that the teams aren't coordinated witch each other. If I like a horse, I'll buy it no matter which team made them or how they make them all look cohesive (when they hopefully do). But the constant swap between styles just interrupts the game. I just hope that they coordinate it so that the coat gets the attention it deserves, because that is obviously doable. The way the teams make the horses would still differ, because that's just how art works, but that's not something you should be able to see in game. Though that's just my opinion and what I think is going on, I'll respect what you believe. ^^

I also noticed that some of more complicated designs have pixels on them, almost like they copy pasted it from photo. I have same quality problem with fresian horse that has spots. The texture appears to be smudged and you can see pixels ( especially on the black blanket one )

It’s neck is way too short and it’s body seems kinda small compared to it’s head. I don’t understand why sso has been making horses so small lately, like the APH? It’s adorable but they’re so small I’d consider them to be a pony which is strange 🤨

tbf, appys do have quite short but thick necks. the issue with this neck is that it isnt thick. its slender af, its so nasty looking. appys are typically around 14.3 to 15 hands though. this model is WAY too slender and thin boned compared to a real appy. its so bad.

The horses lately have been realistic in the sense of they're not unique every time anymore. I think we were at peak horse around the andy and the updated cats, because they were realistic but cartoony Now they're just realistic, which is fine, but now they're realistic in the boring, plain sense, not the fun rrp sense
