Having just mastered ssk I thought there must be an ssp! Very useful! I adapted a pattern that should have been knitted in the round but I adapted it to knit it on straight needles. I therefore need ssp on the even rows not ssk. Thank you

I don’t transfer the knitwise slipped stitches. I leave them on the right needle, go through the stitches from the back and purl them together. Looks the same and is less fussy.

What about ssp at the beginning of the purl row? I give this video a thumbs down.
