I have an issue. I have a large table (about 18 inches wide with multiple columns). I have the first 3 row groups set to fixeddata and repeat when scrolling is working fine. However, when the user scrolls to the right AND also scrolls up, the headers for the first 3 row groups (that are fixed) do not repeat when scrolling, but the other columns headers do. This makes the visual of the report look awkward and messy. Is there a fix for this scenario?

Anything on creating a Paginated report (SSRS report builder) using PowerBI dataset. Somehow trying to add another column of same name but Query Designer does not allow that. Any ideas?
@WiseOwlTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Hi Phillip! We started writing a course on Power BI Paginated Reports using Report Builder but it didn't generate any interest so we abandoned it. I do recall the query designer being pretty hopeless but you can write your own DAX queries directly in the Dataset Properties dialog box. This basic query will select a few columns from a table called Film in a published Power BI dataset, selecting the ReleaseDate column twice: EVALUATE SELECTCOLUMNS( 'Film', "Film Name", [Title], "Released On", [ReleaseDate], "Released On 2", [ReleaseDate], "Run Time", [RunTimeMinutes] ) I hope that points you in the right direction!

This works fine for me, however when I switch print layout the column headers do not appear on every page anymore. I want to export my report to powerpoint slides so I need it to repeat in print layout as wel. Can you help me?
@WiseOwlTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Hi Max! I can't replicate this behaviour. The column headers appear when I view the report in print preview in the Report Builder application and when I export the report to PowerPoint from either Report Builder or the SSRS Web Portal running in Chrome.

Hello Sir How to solve this problem? =Sum(Fields!DCTotal.Value, "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!VatTotal.Value, "DataSet1") The expression used for the calculated field 'TotalAmount' includes an aggregate, RowNumber, RunningValue

My Static fields are below the Row Groups and not above them. So nothing happens when I make FixedData to True. How can I make it work in my report? I am using a Mastrix, not a Table, does that change the feature?
@WiseOwlTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesper, in a matrix you can use the Tablix Properties dialog box to fix the row and column headers. On the General page, check the boxes to "Keep header visible while scrolling". I hope it helps!
@jesper2863 жыл бұрын
Thanks for reply, but it doesnt work. I think my issue is the same as below link, but when I click "FixedColoumnHeaders" to True in Geneal under Properties, I get this error "The tablix 'Tablix3' has an incorrectly set FixedHeader property on the opposite hierarchy, based on the property FixedColumnHeaders of tablix". If you have an idea to fix it, I would be happy. social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/6d6ad0d2-439e-458a-a64a-e427ca628a9e/reporting-services-2008-repeating-headers-when-headers-are-in-a-rectangle-in-header-cell?forum=sqlreportingservices

I fixed it by starting over. Not sure what I messed up in my old Tablix, but I started the new Tablix while fixing its headers and kept making sure that worked as I expanded the table.

Is there a way to relegate only 10 items per page in addition to having headers on each page?
@WiseOwlTutorials6 ай бұрын
Yes! See this video for how to control the rows on each page kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHO8n2R6ipiJg7M To make sure the headers appear on each page you may also need to set the KeepWithGroup property of the Static member to After as described here stackoverflow.com/questions/11285923/tablix-repeat-header-rows-on-each-page-not-working-report-builder-3-0 I hope it helps!

ok, I had multiple headline rows, so I had to make them all True within the Static area to make it work. Thanks
