what we do if the spring or the flapper are broken down, you call for a work over to take the subsurfave valve out on the surface!!!

But if the tree gets broken off or is damaged in an explosion you have no way of shutting in the well. With a sub surface valve, if the control line pressure is lost then the valve closes. It is only used in an emergency. the tree and ssv/PWV/PMV are used for every day closing of the well.

Because the repair need rig, not work in any well. For seafty just hydrolic master &wing valve.

if the scssv or the flapper got permanently bad cam it be replaced
