yup, they follow the rotation. They didn't do that in the original, and to this day I believe that is the only advantage the original game has over Tricky

What was the point of the short jump/respawn here at 6:58? was it for a specific respawn?

It's more like the previous jump (6:51) didn't have any other spawns after landing. In retrospect I should have found some sort of workaround for this since it wastes time doing two warps like that. I DID wait for a certain period of time between the two warps because of the specific spawn that came afterwards (7:00).

I know its TAS but how are you able to do the thing at 3:20 were you go backwards up the track really fast? What are the inputs? apologies for the late reply - I must not have been notified about this comment 1. Get some air, doesn't matter how much, and angle your character so they land awkwardly like in the video 2. Start holding jump and either down+right or down+left on the d-pad 3. Hold jump and your chosen d-pad directions to gain crazy momentum. Note that you'll constantly but slightly turn during this odd animation, releasing jump after having accelerated from it should send you farther backwards than just holding the jump constantly. Holding up+right or up+left during step 2 also works, but will turn you sharper than if you use down+left/right. (to imagine this better, think of the board trail you leave behind from holding up+left/right as being a huge circle while the trail from down+left/right is a huge oval.) hope this helps!

That's a complicated one.. You need to get some amount of air (I do by pressing select, and spawn with a little airtime) Once in the air, adjust yourself in a specific way so that your character takes a harsh landing (you can see Mac in the 2:58 example is leaning down a lot on landing) Then (this part is optional) pick a turn direction and move that way before your rider gets all the way back up from the harsh landing with the left stick Additionally before you stand all the way back up, start holding jump and a flip direction. The flip direction you choose determines which way you go, then jump whenever you like with the momentum you build up. For example, at the start of the run you see me use this trick and I hold a flip direction of up & left. At 2:58, I'm holding down and left. Hopefully that's enough to get everything across. Not sure if there's any way to condense this nor how I went about finding this trick, lol

Gamecube emulator! I don't have the means to TAS and record on a classic console, so I use Dolphin 5.0. and on the subject of other games, I have played a decent amount of On Tour but never tried any Mario kart... Both of those may be worth looking into, On Tour for the unfound potential and Mario Kart for the popularity lol

I like the originality of the ssx videos. I think i understand the struggle of trying to find an original game thats also worth or capable of tasing

I believe there WAS a modern list of glitches and tricks in the works but never finished. The fan glitch I'm referring to in the title is the one used in current world record scores for this track (just look at any previous WRs set by xcon for a demonstration). I specifically forbade that glitch from being used for the entertainment factor, for both myself and the viewers, heh

Fan glitch is determined by using the upward momentum provided by a fan more than once in a single jump. also, didn't you comment on this video a while back?
