St Andrew’s School is proud to be at the forefront of education, offering innovative programs that equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the future. This term, our Year 6 students participated in the highly anticipated ABE Endorsed KidsMBA program, a unique learning experience that introduced them to the exciting world of business.
Throughout the program, students had the privilege of learning from distinguished industry experts. These successful professionals, including Robert Pyman, Founder and CEO of Nexsis; Matt Dyer, Founder, Co-Founder, Director, and General Manager of Eat Now and BookWell; and Prof Raj Shekhawat, Dean of Research at Flinders University, shared their invaluable insights and experiences with our students.
The KidsMBA program provided students with an engaging and interactive curriculum, covering key business fundamentals such as marketing, finance, teamwork, and innovation. Students had the opportunity to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, fostering a spirit of creativity and collaboration.
The culmination of the program was a Shark Tank-style pitch event. In their teams, students presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges, including Andrew Mooney, Co-Founder of Social Kung Fu; Mayor of Walkerville, Melissa Jones; Peta St Clair, Board Chairperson and Director of Guest Experience Performance 54; and Luke Ritchie, Principal of St Andrew’s School. This event allowed students to showcase their learnings in a real-world setting, demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and ability to think on their feet.
St Andrew’s is proud to be the first school in South Australia to offer the ABE Endorsed KidsMBA program, solidifying our commitment to providing our students with an exceptional and future-oriented education. By fostering a culture of innovation and encouraging our students to think creatively and solve problems, we are empowering them to become the confident and enterprising leaders of tomorrow.
