St Andrews - Martin's Mostly Accurate Tour

St Andrews is a fantastic town in Fife, Scotland. It packs so much into a relatively small space so, even if you're not into golf like me, there's lots to do. Popular with tourists, students and just about everyone else, St Andrews has something for everyone.
In this video we take a tongue-in-cheek look at what St Andrews has to offer including beaches, aquarium, meerkats, crepes, ice cream, forest, university and historic cathedral... well, what's left of it.

St Andrews is gobsmacking wonderful. I spent 4 years there. It has the no 1 golf course in the world and the no 1 university in the UK (Guardian and Times university rankings 2024). The Castle and the Cathedral are great, there's some great places to eat and drink and, if you're into golf it's heaven. It also has the most difficult putting green on the planet - the Himalayas. The whole East Neuk of Fife is an absolute delight.

Aye Alex Salmond was a buddy of mine. We went tae Hamden to watch a cup final 😎 he used to disappear on weekends but never told us he was seeing his ex-boss frae the bank 😎😹 There was also an extremely right wing Tory MP by the name of Sir Desmond Swain. Me and Alex were his sworn enemies. Siobhan Redmond is an actress who used to be on TV a lot but never quite hit the heights of Emma Thompson, Fry and Lawrie who she starred in an 80s comedy series with. Aye, them was the grand days 😭😭😭
