Billy if you ever feel like taking us to a nice bit of old England sometime, just as a palate cleanser from Crackadilly Gardens, try Grange-over-Sands and the village of Cartmel. Go when its nice warm weather, some sunshine, or cold with a blue sky. It's like walking into a sleepy timewarp. It's got a very peculiar atmosphere, if you pick up on those kind of vibes. Walk along the promenade and you can easily forget Manchester horrors exist. There is naff all there, nothing much to do, it's a place to just saunter about, feel calm and healed from too much modern life BS.
@peachmelba16372 күн бұрын
Went to Grange over sands,clean, no beggars anything like that but I think you would have to be born to it to take to it...I was so bored I only managed two days, and I'm a 56 year old woman who doesn't really go out, but I couldn't cope... my partner couldn't believe there wasn't a betting shop 😂 asked guy in pub how to put a bet on...he said "online".... couldn't get reception,he said "oh no, you can't round here "😂
@kittyroo-x4p2 күн бұрын
@@peachmelba1637 I know, it's REALLY boring and that is why it is perfect. And it is only 'boring' because we are all too used to living in chaotic and noisy cities and towns. Our senses are over stimulated, and our flight or fight hormones are permanently on full alert. Basically, we have developed ninja levels of peripheral vision always ready for the next weirdo to jump out. What you have to do is turn off the phone and let yourself decompress slowly, like the bends It takes time for the boredom to leave your system. Then as you experience the quiet, and the sound of the sea, you start to notice the smells, the colours, and the clouds scudding over the sky. You have to re-learn how to just 'be' in the landscape. Give yourself permission to just wander about aimlessly, forget rushing about, forget the rat race, forget betting, forget vaping and shopping, paying bills, and all that 'stuff we fill our heads with'. Grange-over-Sands is how England used to be but only if you let it in.

Lived in st Anne’s between 95-97, just a very normal place, never saw any issues whatsoever, lived in a little flat on St Andrews road south.
