St. Charles Missouri: Old Historic Main Street, Katy Trail, Lewis & Clark

I only lived in St. Charles for 5 years; but have been visiting the historic Main Street for about 30 years. I'm due for a trip back, as it looks as though there are some new shops. It is FUN to transport yourself back into a different century, and soak up the ambiance the Street represents!

It’s a wonderful place to visit, shop, and eat! We like to come here at Christmastime too, when everything is beautifully decorated and there are Christmas characters roaming the streets.

Wow ! St Charles looks really neat. Staying there for one whole day in July on our way to Pigeon Forge from KC. StL sometimes you have to be careful where your staying but it looks like that is a really Awesome Historic town. We're staying in a Comfort Inn by the Ameristar.

The Historic St. Charles area by the riverfront is very cool. Great atmosphere, shopping, some good restaurants, and we have always felt safe there. You’re not very far away from it all either where you’ll be staying. Have fun!

St. Charles is a great area! We were down there in December for their Christmas Traditions event, and it's amazing what they do for that - very cool.

Thinking about staying here 3 days on Spring break in March. Going to the Zoo, City Museum and Union Station. Guessing it's30 minutes from everything. Is that close.

And the park bench down by the river the one facing the river off the the left of the train station is way odd light at night. Yes the place is so pretty I loved living there
