Very impressive. The most scientific method yet. I have in the past held my rod while sliding the tip gently across a tile or ceramic surface to feel the feedback and also listen to the pitch of the sound being produced. The higher the pitch the more sensitive the rod. That being said your and my method do not take into account the sensitivity of the guides. With the line actually touching the guides plays a significant role in tranferring vibration that is actually felt. The line tranferring the vibration to the guides and in turn to the blank. I would suppose the lightest guides (less mass to dampen the vibration) like the titanium or AGS guides used on Steez or the new St. Croix xtreme rods should prove best. And in general a lighter weight blank will transfer vibration better than a heavier one. I have alway felt a cork grip or handle will dampen vibration. Again thanks for the video. Still got to pay attention to set the hook!!

$400 for torzite is a great deal! Conquest has them an those are $700. Megabass Arms Superleggera has them and those are $1100!!! I’m not a fan of the puke green so I think I’m going to grab a Legend Elite which is just the same except the different blank color, and those have a full cork grip.

Thanks for that demo. I've been doing something similar using a vibration sensor with an ESP32 and later using the phone app Smart Meter Pro by Smart Tools. I was testing the materials in the handle and not so much different blanks. I like your setup and testing environment.

I have the spinning version of the st croix legand X paired with a HG 2500 Stella. Monster of a combo. Sensitivity and power. All with St. Croix lifetime warranty. You'll never need or want another combo.

I love that reel. Have the same one on my g Loomis rod. Want to get another one of those reels and this ST Croix rod. Looks great. Thinking 7’ MH fast action.

Which you think are better this or the legend Xtreme (the bue one)?

Personally, I like the old legend extreme [the blueish teal colored one]. I fished that rod once in MN, and it felt so balanced.

Are the guides on the Legend X micro?
@gother98604 жыл бұрын
I don't think they are micro guides. They are a bit larger than what I consider to be micro.

Is it is tip heavy.
@gother98604 жыл бұрын
Most spinning rod I've used are more tip heavy. I would consider this to be more on the lighter side of the spectrum.
