St Fillans to Ullapool

On our second day in Scotland in 2022, we left St Fillans and started our long journey to Unapool in Sutherland.. We used the Perthshire Tourist Route to link up with A9 to Inverness and from there we got on the A835 which is a lovely road with picturesque views. To provide with a flavour of that journey I have put together this video of our journey with the music of my latest single Too Much A Gypsy and my song Love I Denied. We had lovely weather for that journey and really enjoyed the views. This video only goes as far as Ullapool, part 2 of the journey will hopefully be released shortly.

We love it also and are going back this summer. Thanks for your information about Ullapool, we only stopped there for a late lunch but the place had a lovely atmosphere and wished we had more time.

@@johnrlhunter We have always bed and breakfasted in Drumnadrochit by Loch ness and drove everywhere from there so we didn't have such a long commute to places of interest!

@@lilasphotosandvideos43 in the past we have used airb&b to book a cottage and do the same. Lochcarron is lovely, but we wanted to see Sutherland, so as we live in the south of England we had to book a total of 5 hotels in the following locations Carlyle, St Fillans, Unapool, Bettyhill, and Dumfries. It great to do this, but this year we are going back to Unapool and staying at a hotel in Summer Isles

@@johnrlhunter Eilean donan castle is on the way to Isle of Sky. on Scy is another castle in the northwest and in the south the ruins of the MC Donalds! We rented a house north of Kyle of Lochalsh at the time, overlooking the Isle of Sky

@@johnrlhunter We went twice to southern England in the direction of Lands End, it's also very beautiful there and the climate is very good in summer!
