Leyla Torres from the bottom of my heart your type of origami is the most accessible of any of the origami i have humbly folded from the 'net in the past 11 years.

Not only was this very cool to watch but also a lifesaver. I own David Brill's book and admire his designs but I find his instructions can be very hard to follow, at least for me. So this helped me greatly in folding the dragon, understanding how the paper was moving. Thank you!

Just set the playback speed to .25 and make indexes (11:57) if you are trying to get unstuck from a step in the book brilliant origami.

Nice work and composition for the final diorama. How do you know what the relative size of the squares for the different pieces should be, especially for the ones that weren't designed as a set? Is it trial and error? Is it careful notes for each model giving starting paper size vs. resulting model size to use as a ratio?
@OrigamiSpirit
@OrigamiSpirit 10 жыл бұрын
My first sets where made with random sizes, just by eye. Once I got them I took notes. I made several pieces before making the final set to study proportions and to calculate the ratios from them.

Great finish to this composition - might it not be possible to break the video down to its component parts and post them at normal playback speed? A teach-in is always more beneficial than a demonstration.

+Rosa Maria Curiqueo Millapan Hola Rosa María.
