Ngl, kinda surprised at the outcome. Didnt expect Pitt to put up this much of a fight especially down here in Socal. For almost 10+ years, down here we Socal people call the #1 Norcal team the "Sacrificial Lamb" offering to either Mater Dei or St. John Bosco with always blowout scores of 52-21 or something like that

Pitt has the most talent potential of any public school in NorCal. 3500+ kids but the coaching staff can never truly harness the talent. Having DLS nearby doesn't help. Pitt tends to schedule big games from time to time, and they'll show well for at least 3 quarters. They just can't put together a full game against teams like SJB, Cen10 or DLS because of an overall advantage of depth that the top 5 teams have.

No really good public school program anywhere in the country doesn't find away to get player's. Plus Bosco are mostly from South Orange county. Pittsburgh didn't have to play this game anyway they choose to

They've always been a power up North, they've just been in the shadow of De La Salle for a long time. However, their program has elevated to more spring camps for lineman and 7v7's the last few years than I've seen before.

Pitt has been a NorCal power for at least the past 60 years. Their only problem is the ability to overcome De La Salle, which is the only large private school in Contra Costa County. Since the late 80s, a lot of skill position players that would have stayed at Pitt started going to De La Salle. The same happened with other schools in the area. It is also of note that Pitt is the last NCS school to beat De La Salle, back in 1991. I was a junior in HS and it was like an asteroid had hit the Earth.

I was at Panish stadium in Bellflower to watch this live. Bosco played really bad. Once Coach Negro put their freshman QB in, the offense started picking up 2nd half. That freshman qb will be a blue chip prospect in the coming years, as long as he keeps working hard. Pitt should have won this game with Bosco playing horrendous, but they let off the gas and got complacent. Though credit to Bosco D with the multiple sacks they had in the 2nd half. I predict there will be an upset once the Trinity begins or in CIF playoffs. This Bosco doesn't look like the same when they had DJ U/Clark at the helm. JSerra/MD/ maybe even O Lu looks ready to upset and take Bosco's spot this season. Lets go!!
