His Father died, when he was young, his father was a holy man and didn’t abandon anyone!

I agree. Butlers ‘ Lives of the Saints’ says St. John’s father was from a noble family, who disowned him for marrying a poor orphan. John was raised by pious but impoverished parents.

One of my favourite Saints. I’m a little sad that we won’t be celebrating his feast day at Mass this year, as it falls on a Sunday (and The Solemnity of Christ the King, no less!!) 🩵

I have a question about Saint John of the Cross. What can I learn from him? Well I guess I can learn from him on how I can my own cross because I have my own cross to carry and I have sleep apnea. Now having sleep apnea is not easy at all and sometimes I feel discouraged. But I'm reminded to carry my cross daily without complaining.

@@voicesoftoday7583 @ voice of today There is Plenty of Evidence for God.Jesus Christ is real.Look up The Shroud of Turin, Look up the Eucharist(s) that turned to blood and they sent it to experts came back as heart muscle that had been badly beaten.There is more evidence.Look up the Miracles. I honestly have no concept of how people can say there is no evidence for God, but believe a big bang happened and then the universe. God bless you I hope and pray you find the truth.research you won't regret it.Jesus Christ was born of a Virgin died and resurrected.He is real.
