Joseph, what a great job. You showed poise in a truly tough aria, staying front and center, but ensemble-minded, never forcing, and conveying the drama with your able colleagues. The slight darkening of tone at 3:24+ was a nice touch. "Actus Tragicus" awaits you with a choral/vocal accompaniment in the one bass aria and an equally florid continuo line. And why stop there: Bass solo cantata "Der Friede Sei Mit Dir" also has this wonderful choral cantus firmus idea. Keep it up.
