St John's is too run down for me. The government of Antigua should take a trip to ST, George's Grenada and see how beautiful that city is. All that CIP money they have or did it disappeared? there's no excuse for that city to be in that condition. What a damn joke.

As much as it negatively impacted our economy, I'm glad I'm living in the Caribbean during these times. I moved to Grenada from Georgia in the US back in 2017, and it gave me peace of mind with my elderly parents and grandparents to have the island be mostly free of the virus. A lot of times we didn't even need masks. Total contrast to the out of control situation in the states. Grenada held out long enough for my elders to get vaccinated before the virus hit bad.

Had a terrible experience on our impromptu excursion there that I tell everyone about who even thinks about going to Antigua. We had very little money getting off our cruise ship and was whisk aside and told we could take an excursion around the island for $20. each. We told them that is pretty much all we had since we had not made plans to take an excursion. Guess what? They never told us about the extra cost for the excision! We were told to get out of the van after about an hour of driving around the country side and stand along side a road, because we did not have the extra money to go into the park. Then made to stay in the van at the next place visited, while others got out to visit the dock. We had enough for one person to go into the park or the dock area, but neither of us wanted to do that to the other. One couple took pity on us and bought us a bottle of water each, because we were dehydrated from staying out in the sun so long at the park entrance. Needless to say, I cried over this during the excursion! Not to mention after getting back to the port area after what felt like hours of enduring this nightmare, people were running up to me either begging for money or begging to braid my hair! No one would let us walk alone in peace. The extra cost was only like $8.00 or $10.00 dollars each and no one would help us out in the van from hell! We could had paid them back after getting to our ship, but no one cared and was not getting involved in our plight. We never want to visit this island again!
