St. Joseph, a man who was solid and reliable. Time to nurture a vocational sense of life

Fr. Eric Nicolai preached this meditation on February 29, 2024, at the Manoir de Beaujeu, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, near Montreal. It was in view of March 19, the solemnity of St. Joseph.
We stop to consider this humble man chosen by God. God gave him a divine vocation. Joseph was reliable. He was solid and trustworthy. He would play the role of protector and guardian of the most important people ever born: Jesus, the son of God-made man, and his mother, the blessed virgin Mary. It is an opportunity to dream about our vocation, and our correspondence to the divine call.
