The St Kilda 2009 Season Highlights DVD was a hastily developed production at the club's request to be available for its members. The Saints had finished on top of the ladder after winning their first 19 matches, and clawed their way into the Grand Final after an intense Preliminary Final. The epic Grand Final ultimately saw the Saints beaten by their own poor kicking at goal, and by one of the greatest ever Geelong teams.
Sports Delivered that year decided to no longer produce season highlights DVDs for non-premiers for general release, to go with the one-off decision in 2005. It meant St Kilda's 2009 season that arguably produced the club's best-ever football was mostly glossed over in a sub-par offering, whilst the remarkable 2005 rollercoaster season that saw them get to within a quarter of a Grand Final appearance was lost altogether.

I must say even though I’m a Freo fan I really enjoyed this, what a team they were in that era, such a shame they didn’t win a flag. Ross is such a good coach and I hope he gets to a third club.
