Yes, and it is illegal to target bass in the river until the season opener. I have a fishing cottage outside Clayton and fish 3-4 days a week May through September and see people doing it every time I'm out in the spring. Slobs pulling bass off beds.

Braid on jerk mono and flora on swims either work. If I was to choose one I’d pick mono
