We can pray directly to God in Jesus’ name, the only intercessor to God. The dead will not hear your prayers. Christians should not be dead to be saints. The apostle Paul in his letters called the living Christians saints.

You are of course free to believe what you wish, but that is not the Catholic belief, although we are never forced to ask the saints for their intercession. But if you say "the dead will not hear your prayers," you seem to be saying you don't believe in eternal life, which I find puzzling, to say the least.
