My Grandparents lived in Ferguson at Elizabeth and Godfrey. Grew up watching the Wabash, then Norfolk and Western straining uphill from the creek, often stalling. Their engines shook the house at 33 Godfrey Ln. Oh how I wish I had a movie camera back then! I could see see the City of KC and City of St. Louis taking the passenger line (now light rail)down thru Cool Valley from their upstairs windows.

Ferguson just recently had a westbound empty autorack train from Norfolk Southern derail. Clean up was pretty quick however gave the neighborhood a good scare. To this day you can hear trains at Ferguson around 11pm-2am you can hear the horn blowing and cars rolling across the bridge. Whistle Stop is a good place to watch Ferguson trains mostly NS trains but I have seen UP and KCS

@@Scorges1 I came into the Amshack on a FRA test car in 84. Used to use union station in the 70s and 60s. It was pretty sad by 1978, but I loved backing into the train shed. Great memories....

In addition to the Rio Grande car, train 5 has a CNW autorack. Those manifests between STL and KC can have fine old fallen flag cars: MP, MKT, etc.

From 0:14 to 2:33 in this video, what is the location in St. Louis? The reason I am asking is that this looks like it would be an excellent location for one of the online "virtual railfan" services to put a 24/7 camera at. The services I am referring to are "Virtual Railfan Live", "Railstream", etc.
