Can’t be mad about Morris winning the fan vote I just hope Edgar gets in someday. He was one of my favorite Cardinal players and played on my all time favorite Cardinal team the 2004 Cardinals

As far as City Connect, it’s top 3. Most of em are awful. Thank god the Cardinals still looks like a real uniform. Cleveland’s is good too. That’s about.

Great Win! Lots of hitting with RISP and hitting in general! Gipson didn’t pitch the greatest but he gave them some innings! I’m a little disappointed on the new uniforms they played it safe like they always do and to me it’s BASIC!!!! I was hoping for more flare ,better use of the arch! The hat sucks my 13 year old niece could come up with a better design! 4.5 out of 10 on the uniforms I thought they’d be a lot cooler!

That was the best game of overall hitting and the bullpen not breaking down from the Cardinals in a while. The reality is things haven't been fixed I'm not on board with this. Awesome Uniforms tho.

At least the new uniform doesn't look like it belongs on a women's softball team, like so many of the other MLB teams have done. I'm also ok with invoking some historical references like the fleur de lis. It might be nice to show a bunch of pictures from the team in the early 1920's wearing the hats lettered "STL" that way, so more people understand the "connection" aspect in the design. Maybe give us some historical pictures on the channel too, JD. One thing possibly missing in the new jersey set is there is nothing but cardinal and redbird on it. The franchise hasn't always been called the Cardinals.

Burly can flat out hit. We saw it last year. I was relieved when the Cards did not trade him . Iven can hit too. What is it with Ivans arm ? The scouting report I read said he had a cannon.

I mean ya the uniforms aren’t terrible. Better than a lot of others. But it would have been cool to have just the short sleeves out shade of blue. Or some blue stripes around the shoulders. Idk to me it would have been cool

The game was great! Hoping the hitting continues. The uniforms? your hat is much better, but the hat is ok, yes the arch added would have been great! Not a fan of the jersey at all 🫤First thing I thought of, the bathroom. (Except for the patch, that is nice) Overall it could have been a lot worse. ☺️

Glad they kept birds-on-bat. Hat reminds me of the hat in the Abbott and Costello ‘Who’s on first’ costume. I prefer the hat like JD’s too. Much better than the Met’s. Just get rid of the swish on all uniforms!

Is there any way of getting Duncan back out of retirement? Asking for a friend. The coaching staff can't go out and make them hit or pitch. But you see it all around, delete. Especially with coach Duncan. Good coaches have a way of making great players.

Sorry. The red tops make the uniforms look like a softball uniform. On the positive side, the City Connect uniforms are not hideous like the Cincinnati City Connect uniforms. Let’s just stick to the traditional uniforms.

For as much of a problem I have with the on field product Bill Dewitt puts out, I will give him credit for being a great steward of Cardinals history and keeping their uniform one of the classiest in baseball. And having said that I'm not surprised that the CC uni can be considered by some as safe. I like the cap, but probably with a different uniform. I think they should have put the fleur de lys on the cap without the Arch and circle surrounding it. Compared to other CC unis it looks good. Just hope there are no crazy sock designs like some teams have.

City connect unis, I agree not bad. Maybe couldn't been better. Glad they incorporated "The Lou," flor de lis, and those river pinstripes are sick with neat meaning. I like the classic lettering too. I would've liked to see more color, maybe like a three tone red in a horizon pattern with the Arch large and off set to the left chest would've been sick

I can't take the Contreras praise any more. When he makes contact he is very powerful but you even mentioned the three games he struck out nine times and during one series. He has hit six homers but only has 12 Rbi's. Pages in two at bats had four RBI's and now STL will send him back to Memphis. Last year Contreras hit just like Goldie has this year. He was 5 for his first 80 at bats. He broke a wrist by getting hit with a BAT. The first rule of catching is the catcher must dodge the bat. His arm is strong but by throwing from his knees has a tendency to throw on the first base side of second. it works out sometimes because the throws into the stealer. I wrote last week that Contreras will have to learn to play first because this will have to be Goldie's last year with the Red Birds. At his age a new contract should not be negotiated. Burleson can play first and Contreras also with the other batting DH. And don't forget Baker. STL needs a right handed bat.

Contreras was the best hitter during the 2nd half last season, not best hitting catcher, but best hitter overall. This is not me saying this, but his OPS was the best of any hitter in the 2nd half last season. Yes he struggled with framing last season, but he's definitely turned it around this season immensely! Throwing out runners is down mainly because our starters, other than Gray, having slow approaches to the plate. He had the top 3 best defensive numbers as a catcher in the MLB before he got injured. Now speaking of his injury trying to steal strikes. He isn't the only catcher doing it for one, and two JD Martinez is known for hitting way too far back in the batters box. Dude even got Contreras's bro twice last season lol! Saying Contreras only having 12 RBI in 6 HR is his fault is hilarious lol! He can't hit for the guys in front of him. He's also been in the number 2 spot most of the season. So, he doesn't get a lot of RBI chances when he hits HR's. He was by far our best hitter in April. Pagés isn't even the 1st backup catcher, Herrera is. Pagés is only up because Contreras is out. Now Pagés is a decent defensive catcher, but he's definitely no comparison to Contreras, just saying lol!

I don't like the "city connect" uniforms at all. The hat, "the lou," and the white border on the sleeve all look goofy. But to be upfront, I doubt they could have come up with a "city connect" uniform I would like. I don't think any of the three should be Cardinal HOFs.
