@@cammy484 yeah, a good armour set is usually around half of 10k bought stock and it takes a lot of physical fitness and training, as well as technique training in order to not be simply bumbling around with a sword and shield

@@thegregitto My full titanium kit I'm waiting on, w/ steel gauntlets and helmet, and with custom measurements, was around $4500 all in. The painful thing is that I have to wait for 8 months for everything to get done..... I hope that the armourers are able to keep up as the sport gets more popular.

I like how the barrier is lower so it's actually possible to flip people over it, instead of having fighters hang on to a taller barrier for dear life and staying in the fight longer than they should.

If someone comes to practice enough then usually someone with armor will let them borrow theirs to test it out. If you are going to buy a set then it could cost $2,500 to $10,000 (so maybe around $5,000). If you buy second hand or cheap armor then it won't cost too much, but finding someone that is the same size and willing to sell is difficult and cheap armor will put your life at risk. The price of metal is up right now and many of the armorers are located in Ukraine, so I don't know what the cost of armor is right now

It hurts a lot. My team is constantly posting pics of dark purple bruises sometimes a foot long. People fight with broken bones (usually fingers or ribs) fairly often. Most people liken it to being hit with a baseball bat. It also depends on what armor and padding you have. Someone in full plate vs dueling armor will feel different levels of pain
