It seems like everyone should know, but ask anyone if they recycle and most will say “of course, i do the best I can” and they might even say they go so far as to wash out containers, wasting hot water and soap!

I see things in my bin all the time that are not recyclable 😢😢

In Oslo,Norway, we mostly sort and burn the nonrecyclable and use the energy for heating etc. in houses. If I cheat in sorting I may get corrections first and some sort of punishment if I continue. I have not tested that out. We also have pledgesolutions for a lot of stuff to help recycling or for correct disposal. And it works. More than 90% of beverage packaging is recycled.
