St Lucie River Inshore trolling for big fish

With the wind blowing we decided to do some Inshore trolling on the St Lucie River on Florida's Treasure Coast. We troll slow at 4 knots and found a school of nice size Jack Crevalle which pound for pound are one of the toughest fighting fish. We were hoping for some big monsters but my Son was super exciting to fight the nice fish Jacks we hooked up. We trolled Yozuri lures and bomber plugs. The mullet color bomber ended up getting the job done.
I will be fishing for these Jack Crevalle this month as I'm hoping to break my recent 30 lb personal best.

Brother that is some good times being able to spend time with your son, especially doing something you both love. Plus he's able to fish off the cleanest boat in the South LOL. Hope the eye is healed up.

Nice to watch a local guy fishing. I live in PSL on the C24, unfortunately on the west side of the lock, launch at the roundabout ramp. Would never have thought of doing this. Looks like a blast, love your vids, keep up the good work!

Greatly appreciate the local support. I’ve caught Snook and Tarpon this way also. You can cover a lot of ground. Also, a 12” Mullet trolled at 1-2 knots 75 feet back will get you some big fish.
