St Maarten arrivals and departures from the touchdown location. Planespotting in 4K SXM

This video includes close to 1 hour of Arrivals and Departures of St Maarten Princess Juliana Airport filmed from a spot on the perimeter road during a recent trip abroad
Filmed freehand using a 4K Sony AX53 video camera
I spent 5 nights here including the trip across to St Barts for the day
The first spot is on top of some concrete near some bins. However I was asked by locals to not stay there. There is also an abandoned building I went in. Plus the last spot which is a small rooftop viewing platform owned by a nearby restaurant
You will see many A320s, B757s and A330s during this video coming from North America and on International routes across the Atlantic as well as a lot of island hoppers, cargo and private jets. Watch as aircraft arrive over Maho Beach and cause Jet blast to onlookers when departing!

The best views are from the beach. There was an arrival schedule posted on a surfboard at the restaurant so plane spotters could plan when to get out of the water to watch. The activity on the beach went crazy as the large jets approached. You have to go there to experience this airport landings

The 757 is such a beautiful and graceful airplane. Like the aviation version of a ballet dancer. I wonder if Boeing regrets that they ended production. I 'm beginning to warm up to her big sister, ( the triple 7). I wonder if they will start flying in here, or is the runway too short? I'm assuming since 747's once flew in, that wouldn't be a problem. I guess the iguana and the barking dogs love airplanes too !;!😂

Unfortunately they don’t fly the B747s here anymore. Both Air France and KLM have retired them

@@Calsaviation this is way too sad!!! 747 is my favorite plane of all time, and it was my dream for years to see it flying from St Maarten!!! I will be going there for the first time with my husband this year, who is a very big aviation fan as well. We missed it 😢 😔 😕 😪 😫
