I complain a lot about the over population and huge growth of people moving in the last 20 years here I live. After watching several videos of the almost abandon small towns in Northern Montana with No Stores, Restaurants or Medical Service I will not complain so much any more. One could die of loneliness in places like this. Gives one a good Idea of how it was when the West was opened up for settlement. Homes were miles apart and the only time you saw someone is when you went into the nearest town for supplies, that was a tough life. Thank you editors and whoever put this short history together.

I grew up not too far from Glasgow AFB. Many memories of B-52s flying low over the plains and F-101 Voodoos breaking the sound barrier. We would go to their open house every year. Fun times. As a kid, little did I know that the B-52s there were part of a Cold War.

I lived there as a kid from 1974-1975. Went to North Star school on base. I was in the 4th grade.

Kind of like Slab City with the exception that all of the bums and skids would freeze solid the first Winter.

Are the utilities reliable and affordable? Do your lights go off a lot? I would be afraid of freezing if I lost electricity there. What about taxes, are they cheap? Roads OK?

I looked into buying property here. Can you believe there's a damn HOA? Knock that shit off if you want people to move there..

Was stationed at Glasgow from June '66 until June '68. Guarded nuclear loaded B-52 bombers as well as bomb builder augmentee when base went to Guam for 6 months. Very, very desolate. Had to go 300 miles to Great Falls to find a town with more people in it than Glasgow.
