I’ve seen people actually say Santa equals Satan and it just makes me want to throw up because Santa actually is Spanish for holy for example the city of Santa Fe means “holy faith”. And as a child I would put my Christmas list rolled up under our tree skirt on the night of December 5 and then when I Woke up in the morning my list was gone and as was the tradition with the Saint Nicholas day I had a treat in my shoe

More than likely he was perhaps only half-Catholic and half-Orthodox since he’s also a saint of the Greek Orthodox Church as well as the Russian Orthodox Church, but all possibilities need to be detailed to say the least.

When St Nicholas was on this earth all Christ believers were known as Christians. St Nicholas was Greek. If he had been around during the schism (catholics/orthodox) I assure you he would have been orthodox like the rest of his people. St Nicholas wasnt "ALSO" revered in the orthodox church as a saint as you state, he was the Orthodox church!
