This is the fourteenth video in my Drawing London series exploring the history of London's architecture. In this video I draw St Paul's Cathedral. St. Paul's was consacrated in 604 and the most recent building, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, was finished in 1711. The cathedral is Wren's masterpiece and the prominent example of Baroque architecture in London.
The music in this video is excerpts from Thomas Attwood's Turn Thy face to my sins. Attwood was an organist and choir master at St Paul's Cathedral for more than forty years. Both Attwood and Christopher Wren are buried in the cathedral.
This video is part of a series in which I draw London landmarks in postcard-size sketches - exploring the eclectic collection of architecture the city has to offer with relevant music. I am uploading weekly at the moment so make sure to subscribe and also type a comment if you have a building in mind for me to draw!
Thank you for watching: please subscribe to follow me drawing my way around famous London sights and other architecture of the world.
