St Peters Mumias made history in 2016 becoming the first Kenyan side to win the East African (FEASSA) 7s Title after beating Kololo Secondary 21-14 at Eldoret Sports Club on 1 September 2016.
The side had finished third in the National School games after a 19-10 win over Maseno School in the third-place playoffs at Kangaru School in June.
Zedden Marrow and Bethuel Anami scored twice with John Sabato’s conversions bringing the side back to the game twice. Tom Maina landed the crucial try that saw the side become the second-ever side in history to bag the EA 7s title after Rwanda’s Hure.
