I lived in St. Pete from '82 to '95. You are a brave man for travelling at night the streets you were on. St. Pete WAS a great city then, not sure about now. Thanks for taking us on your travels.

I went through south saint pete for the first time the other night. Got off the highway for gas and immediately regretted it. Couldnt get out of there quick enough. Its amazing that this is a short drive from a few beautiful areas and beaches

Yeah, this neighborhood is a remnant from when St. Pete sunk into a period of dilapidation. For 20 or 30 years there was near zero investment in st. Pete. The city began to look completely run down as a whole. However investment is now absolutely off the charts.
