I came to St. Tikhon's to see St. Alexis Toth. I am one of the faithful that was blessed to experience the divine aroma emanating from him while we were venerating him. Glory to God in His saints! Glory forever!

I was born and raised in South Canaan pa. my earliest childhood memory is hearing the beautiful songs coming from St. Tikons. A wonderful monastery for wonderful people. Simply breath taking.

my fondest memory will always be being asked to sing on the kliros with the monks for the vigil of the leavetaking of the Dormition of the Theotokos. a truly great honor for me. thank you!

@captain42979, No, Orthodoxy is much different from Roman Catholicism. The Roman Catholic church used to be a local Orthodox Church in communion with all the other local Orthodox Churches (e.g., Antioch, Constantinople, Jerusalem, Alexandria, etc.) for almost 1,000+ years. However, through the years the Roman church started introducing modernism and non-Orthodox doctrine, until the split from the Holy Orthodox Church around the middle of the 11th century. Much of the doctrine and essence of Orthodoxy is very different from catholicism.

ORTHODOX PRIEST People, "ORTHODOX PRIEST" has nothing to do with Orthodox Christianity. At the least, this kind of behavior has nothing to do with Orthodoxy... "REAL EXORCISM TO EXPEL SATAN ENEMIES"? No, Orthodoxy is what Catholicism broke away from in 1054AD. Prior to that there had been only one unified, holy, Apostolic church - the Orthodox church.

Catholic is a Greek word to mean - UNIVERSAL . Roman Catholic - Modernised many new laws since 1054, although other issues appeared earlier this great Schism dissolved EAST and WEST ICXC NIKA
